Thanks to a wonderful anonymous donor, each unrestricted donation made to Second Chance Wildlife Center (www.SCWC.org) from today through December 31, 2024, will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to ONE MILLION DOLLARS!

With our new, custom-designed facility in Clarksburg, Maryland on track for completion later this year, this matching gift campaign is a fantastic opportunity to have your monetary donations doubled (at no extra cost to you!) to help Second Chance increase its animal care capacity, upgrade existing medical equipment, and to build its operational fund and reserves for future needs.

Donations to this matching campaign at any level are deeply appreciated. Individuals or groups making unrestricted donations of $10,000 or more are eligible to have a room or outdoor enclosure at the new facility named in honor of a person, group, family, or business until all spaces have been designated (first-come, first-served). This is a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy for precious wildlife in need. For more information, contact Maureen Smith via email: MSmith@scwc.org.

Included below are recent photos of the facility in progress and the architect’s rendering of what the completed clinic building will look like. Please follow us on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/SCWC.org), Instagram (@SecondChanceWildlifeCenter), and on our website (www.SCWC.org/News) for more updates and images along the way.

Donations by check are preferred due to third-party processing fees charged for online/credit card payments.

At this time, checks should be sent to our current location:

Second Chance Wildlife Center

7101 Barcellona Drive

Gaithersburg, MD 20879

Should you choose to make your gift online via credit card (subject to a processing fee by a third-party vendor) click on the “donate” tab on www.SCWC.org.

To keep our phone lines open for animal rescue emergencies, general questions about this campaign should be e-mailed to: info@scwc.org. Baby Season, our busiest time of year, has begun but we will do our best to respond within 2 business days.

To the generous donor who is making this campaign possible, and to all our wonderful supporters, we send our heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the thousands of injured, ill, and orphaned animals entrusted to our care each year.

SCWC Recognized with County Proclamation
In a meeting of the Montgomery County Maryland County Council, SCWC was presented with a Council proclamation recognizing SCWC’s 25 years of service to the community. We are honored to be recognized for our service and we could not have done this without tremendous support from our donors, staff, Board members, volunteers and interns. Thank you!
